Why I Wrote This Book
A Father’s Letter to the Next Generation
I wrote this book first for my son, Abraham, and perhaps one day for his brothers or sisters. I imagine them reading these pages as teenagers, standing at the beginning of their lives, trying to understand who they are, what they should become, and where they should go.
But this book is also for an entire generation standing at that exact same crossroads—young people who know they are capable of something more, but may not yet know what that "more" looks like.
"I don't want you to simply grow older. I want you to grow wiser."
I made many mistakes in my own journey. I wasted time, trusted the wrong people, cared too much about pleasing others, and allowed comfort to become an excuse. Some lessons came only after I paid a heavy price. I cannot go back and change those years, but if something I learned the hard way helps Abraham—or you—avoid one unnecessary mistake, then this book has served its purpose.
The Three Questions Money Can't Answer
You will need money. Money matters—learn how to earn it, manage it, and invest it. But money cannot be your final destination. Ask yourself:
1. What happens when you finally have the money, but don't know why you are alive?
2. What happens when you achieve the title, but lose yourself?
3. What happens when everyone knows your name, but you don't know your purpose?
Yesterday will never return. Money can be earned back, but time cannot. Don't waste your youth trying to look successful or impress people who don't matter.
A Note on Foundation
Think of this book as a supplementary vitamin—something to strengthen you and offer perspective.
God and His Word are the foundation. Never allow this book, or any other, to replace seeking God and discovering His divine purpose for your life.
Your Charge
You may feel behind, lack money, or have made mistakes. None of those things get to define your life. You were not created merely to consume, work, pay bills, and die.
